Hi, I’m Matilda!

My name is Matilda (Jean is my middle name!) and also go by Tils, Tilda or even Matt.

I’ve had creative interests since I was a kid and always dreamt of having a ‘proper’ camera one day. A few years ago I had the pleasure of being asked to ‘take care’ of a friends camera, and had the best time running around the open mic night we were both attending.

This then sparked a whole obsession with photography, and also fun fact, that friend…is now my partner! I purchased my first camera in 2023 and have loved continuously developing this craft ever since.

Random facts about me

I’ve lived in Brighton & Hove my whole life, so I’m a true ol’ Brightonian.
I absolutely LOVE dogs & cannot wait to get 1 or 5 of my own one day.
I have an obsession with potatoes in every form… Crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle?! Sign me up right NOW.
I love exploring the world and most recently went on a 2 month trip to Colombia… It was incredible and I cannot wait to plan the next trip!
I’ve worked within mental health, homelessness and/or addiction for the past 6 years. In fact, my first day in the sector was the first day of lockdown!
