Hi, I’m Matilda!

My name is Matilda (Jean is my middle name!) and also go by Tils, Tilda or even Matt.

I’ve had creative interests since I was a kid and always dreamt of having a ‘proper’ camera one day. A few years ago I had the pleasure of being asked to ‘take care’ of a friends camera, and had the best time running around the open mic night we were both attending.

This then sparked a whole obsession with photography, and also fun fact, that friend…is now my partner! I purchased my first camera in 2023 and have loved continuously developing this craft ever since.

So, what's it actually like having me at your wedding?

A mixture of photographer, professional hype woman and occasional chaos coordinator.
I'll step in when you need a little guidance, but I won’t be there bossing you around like we’re in the military! I’d much rather photograph the hug you didn’t know was happening, the laugh you couldn’t stop, your grandad getting emotional and your friends absolutely losing it than spending hours making everyone stand in the same place looking at me (no thank you).
Naturally, I’ll probably get very excited by any kind of bubbles, confetti, or furry friends nearby.
It’s important to me that you are completely yourselves on your wedding day. I’m just there to capture all the wholesomeness, quirky vibes and weird goofy faces.

Random facts about me

I’ve lived in Brighton & Hove my whole life, so I’m a true ol’ Brightonian.
I absolutely LOVE dogs & cannot wait to get 1 or 5 of my own one day.
I have an obsession with potatoes in every form… Crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle?! Sign me up right NOW.
I love exploring the world and most recently went on a 2 month trip to Colombia… It was incredible and I cannot wait to plan the next trip!
I’ve worked within mental health, homelessness and/or addiction for the past 6 years. In fact, my first day in the sector was the first day of lockdown!
